Global Disc Golf

Global League is a cumulative-scoring, individual league that spans 10 weeks and 17 events!

The events will unlock every Monday morning - starting September 21st, 2026 - and stay open for 65 hours until Wednesday night (CST). This time window will allow players from all across the Globe to compete.

The main things to know about Global League (GL):
1. FREE TO PLAY - GL events are free to play and receive prizes.
2. NO EVENT CODES - GL events will appear in the Events section without the need to enter an event code. This will help facilitate broader participation across all Disc Golf Valley players.
3. DEFAULT BAGS - GL events will only utilize players' bags, so there will be no Putters, Big Skip, Balanced, etc rounds.

New Rules for Season 4

Le Tour de Globe will feature two new elements to the Global League: DIVISIONS and SIDE COMPETITIONS.

DIVISIONS

Players will be divided into 5 different divisions to encourage participation and balance. These divisions will be assigned based on each player's stroke rank after Week 3. Consider the first 3 weeks as a qualifier for the rest of the season. Scroll down to How Scoring Works for more information.

Prizes will be awarded to all divisions, but the biggest prizes will be reserved for the Tour division. More info about rewards can be found here: G4 Rewards
All players will play in the same events throughout the season, so the leaderboard on GlobalDiscGolf.club will be the source of truth for Divisional Standings.

Changing Divisions

Players will not have the option to change divisions on their own.
The League Commissioner does retain the right to move a player up divisions.

SIDE COMPETITIONS

Similar to Le Tour de France cycling race, Le Tour de Globe will include more competitions beyond the race for 1st in the general classification.

The Yellow Icon will indicate the overall season champion based on points from main events + bonus rounds. This will only go to a Tour Division player.

The Polka Dot Icon will go to the player who gets the most combined points from all 6 Bonus Rounds (Ace Race + Eagle Run + Bullseye Blitz). This will be the top overall winner regardless of ther Division.

The Green Icon will go to the player who gets the most bonus strokes in the 11 main event rounds. This will be the top overall winner regardless of their Division. Learn more about what constitues a "Bonus Stroke" here.

The White Icon will go to the winners of each Division.

The Blue Icon will go to the winners of each Main Event (11 total). This will only be the top overall winner regardless of their Division.

General Rules

Players are only allowed to play an Event one (1) time using one (1) DGV account. Any identified instance of a player using multiple accounts in an event may result in disqualification from this season AND from any future GDG events or leagues.
Players must complete all 36 holes of a main event to be eligible for points that week. Leaderboards will ignore any player who doesn't finish an event.
Players may play all Event rounds at their own pace, but they must complete the rounds during the announced time window. If a player's rounds are not completed when the Event window locks, they will be ineligible for points that week. (See Rule #2)
Players must refrain from sharing or posting any layout specifics (holes, order, wind conditions, etc.) that don't appear on GlobalDiscGolf.club before an event begins. The intent is for all players to encounter unknown layouts equally unaware.
Players must be on the most recent release version of Disc Golf Valley to participate in the GDG events.
In the case that an Event includes unexpected and/or misconfigured layouts or bag settings, all players must continue with the round. Scores for affected rounds will count towards the week's results as if they were the intended settings.
Global Disc Golf is not owned or operated by Disc Golf Valley, Spinoff Games, or House of Discs and reserves the right to independently manage the rules, participation, and prize winners related to any Global Disc Golf branded event or league.
Technical glitches or issues with the Disc Golf Valley app and/or the UDisc integration will be handled if possible, but Global Disc Golf makes no guarantees that anything can be done if you experience a glitch. Please do your best to ensure you have a secure, up-to-date version of DGV and are on a solid connection when playing GDG League events.
Any unclaimed prizes at the end of the season will be redistributed to the best of GDG's ability.
Any disputes or unforeseen circumstances will be resolved by the Global Disc Golf Club commissioner. Commissioner decisions are final. Send any questions or concerns to League@GlobalDiscGolf.club.

How Scoring Works

Divisions
Players will be divided into 5 different divisions after Week 3 based on their cumulative strokes.

Tour: Top 250 players
Pro: Next 500 players
Advanced: Next 1000 players
Intermediate: Next 1000 players
Recreational: Everyone else + players who start after W3.

The Points formula will go back and look at the first 3 weeks to calculate the player's points based on their rank against other players in their new Division. Those points will then generate a new ranking that will then carry over for the rest of the season.

Individual Event Scoring

Every player who finishes an event in 250th place or higher IN THEIR DIVISION will earn points. Players in other divisions will not factor in to any other Division's placements.

Points will be awarded using the following formula:

251 - [Player's Placement] = Points

Example: Charlie finishes in 487th place overall, but that's good enough for 56th place in the Advanced Division.
- - - 251 - 56 = 195 points for the event
If multiple players tie for a place, they will all receive the same points that week.
There will be occasional Bonus Round opportunities throughout the season. The points details for those weeks' Bonus Round(s) will be detailed on that week's page here.

Cumulative Season Scoring

The final season standings will be calculated by adding together all the points a player earns in each of the 11 season events + bonus events

The player with the most cumulative points across all GL events will be a Global League Champion!

Ties will only be broken when prizes are concerned.

Tiebreakers:

Fewest cumulative strokes over all 44 event rounds (for end-of-season prizes only)
Fewest strokes in the most recent round.
Continued checking each previous round until there is a separator.
Fewest strokes in the most recent hole.
Continued checking each previous hole until there is a separator.
Best screen name.

Technical Issues and App Crashes

The app now allows players to Reconnect to rounds when an app crash happens. To help prevent this, GDG recommends
- Closing all other apps while playing a League event
- Restarting DGV between every round
GDG will not make score corrections this season for any technical issues.
If the game doesn't allow you to reconnect, you will not receive any points for that event.
If the game adds strokes to your hole upon a reconnect, those strokes will be added to your total for the event.
