Global Rankings compares all players based on their results from several recent events and game modes.

Eligible Events:
1. Are free to play
2. Require no event code to play
3. Use a player's default bag >50% of rounds
4. Have a combined leaderboard for all players (may exclude tiered events)
5. Are available long enough for all players to play (no live events)
6. Have results in a format Global Disc Golf can utilize

The events are split into three categories: Majors, Multiplayer Seasons, and Opens
Majors = DGV Worlds, Global League, DGVPT, etc.
Multiplayer = Season-End Multiplayer Rankings
Opens = Rumbles (free), Holiday Events (April Fools, Valentine's, Winter Challenge, etc)

Formula:
Majors (4000 possible points)
- Global Rankings takes the 2 most recent Majors. No Majors get dropped from the Global Rankings. 
- If a player finishes worse than 500th or does not play, they will get 0 points for that event.
-  (501 - (Player's Avg. Rank)) * 8

Multiplayer (3000 possible points)
- Global Rankings look at the 3 most recent Multiplayer seasons and drops each player's worst performance.
- If a player finishes worse than 500th or does not play, they will get 0 points for that event.
- (501 - (Player's Avg. Rank)) * 6

Opens (3000 possible points)
- Global Rankings look at the 8 most recent Opens and drops each player's 4 worst performances.
- If a player finishes worse than 500th or does not play, they will get 0 points for that event.
- (501 - (Player's Avg. Rank)) * 6

The goal is to update the Global Rankings at the end of each Multiplayer Season and incorporate any new Majors or Opens that happened during that window. The formula is also subject to change over time.
